Service
Service name: SheetSage (Google Sheets add-on)
Developer / Provider: SheetSage
Contact: support@sheetsage.co
Country: New Zealand
1) Agreement
By installing, accessing, or using SheetSage, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2) The Service
SheetSage is a Google Sheets add-on that may:
- Scan spreadsheets/workbooks for formula patterns and potential risks
- Display findings (including clustered/repeated issues)
- Apply certain fixes you choose to run
- Create snapshots to support undo/restore actions
The Service is intended to assist with spreadsheet hygiene and risk review; it does not guarantee correctness.
3) Eligibility and Google Account
You must have a Google account and the ability to install Google Workspace add-ons. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
4) Your Content and Permissions
“Your Content” means the spreadsheets, formulas, and data you access through Google Sheets. You retain all rights to Your Content.
You grant SheetSage permission to access and process Your Content only to provide the Service’s features (e.g., scanning formulas, generating results, applying chosen fixes, creating snapshots/restore points). The exact access depends on the Google authorization scopes shown during installation.
5) Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate laws or third-party rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the Service
- Bypass or misuse Google’s authorization/permission model
- Use the Service to process data you do not have the right to access
6) Fixes, snapshots, and your responsibility
SheetSage may modify your spreadsheet only when you explicitly trigger actions (e.g., “Fix”, “Fix all”, “Restore”). You are responsible for reviewing changes and validating outputs for your use case.
We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups/version history and reviewing results after changes.
7) Third-party services (Google)
The Service runs on Google infrastructure (e.g., Google Apps Script / Google Workspace) and depends on Google Sheets. Your use is also governed by Google’s terms and policies.
8) Intellectual Property
SheetSage and its software, UI, and documentation are owned by the Provider and protected by applicable IP laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as provided.
9) Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including adding/removing rules or changing scoring. We may update these Terms; if changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
10) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”.
We make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Spreadsheet outputs can be complex; you must independently verify results.
11) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- SheetSage will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/revenue/data.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event (or USD $0 if the Service is free).
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; in those cases, limits apply to the maximum extent allowed.
12) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold SheetSage harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the add-on. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms or if required by law.
14) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Courts located in New Zealand will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where prohibited.
